As a new company, branding and launching a product can be a scary prospect, but it doesn’t have to be. Once you’ve developed a concise branding model, a strategy for increasing brand awareness and engagement should soon follow suit.
First things first, put yourself out there.
Think about why people should be excited about your launch and why people should choose your brand, this is what you need to get across to your prospective consumers – this is your brand message.
If you’re not sure what a brand message is, it’s basically an explanation of what your brand is about. Think about the tone of your messages: are you a serious brand or more tongue-in-cheek? What are you offering? What is your company ethos?
You can better understand your brand’s target audience once you have a solid understanding of your voice, message, and positioning (where you stand in the market and how you want to market your product).
Be visible in the market!
Once you’ve nailed down your target audience, this gives you insight into how to access your audience – this could be through certain mediums like Instagram or the local community.
We are strong believers that as a brand you should put on a united front across each platform you use, to not dilute your message, this means making sure your brand message, voice and imagery are consistent and universal.
Think about all the well-known brands out there. For example, with Budweiser you can instantly recognise the logo, the use of the colour red, the font, their boxes and style a mile off – this is what you should duplicate with your brand.
Tips and tricks for your launch!
- Facebook is quickly becoming a place for community groups rather than making friends; groups are a great tool for creating a sense of community. Join and create relevant groups for your product!
- When you’re first launching it’s worth trying out exclusive offers, this could be a loyalty card or a freebie when they first purchase with you.
- Create exciting content about your product and brand such as tips and tricks on how to use your product, this can be shared on your social media and website.
- If you know your target market’s favourite influencers, get involved. Send out freebies or get them onboard with adverts!
- Design some badass packaging, in most cases, the packaging is the first thing a consumer sees on a shelf, making your packaging unique could be half the battle to getting it into your consumer’s lives – so make sure it looks good!
