How to package small and fragile products

When it comes to small items like jewellery and accessories or small ceramic pieces, you must find something that is aesthetically pleasing and also protects your product during transit.

Mailer envelopes and shipping boxes made of environmentally friendly packaging materials are ideal for this. They safeguard the item while reducing your carbon footprint!

Shipping Tips for Fragile Items

Limit the movement of your product to prevent it from breaking. This step is critical if your product is being shipped around. Use two inches of crumpled kraft paper or newspaper, for example, between the fragile item and the wall of your packaging box – and remember, you could even customise the design on this.

The right-sized box is also critical to the safety of your product. You must ensure that the box can support the weight of the product and that it contains cushioning material. You may want to double-box to avoid damage.

Top tip: if you are sending multiple products, separate fragile items into different boxes or mailer envelopes (in case of small items). This prevents items from colliding with one another. Wrapping each item individually protects it from damage and protects it from breakage.

You can use recycled, corrugated inserts or recyclable tissue paper when sending a box containing multiple fragile items. To demonstrate your environmental commitment, use compostable bags and kraft hang tags to make your packaging even more sustainable.
